Virtual Limb Preservation Symposium - May 6, 2022
This one-day virtual learning event on limb preservation is a joint venture between Wounds Canada and the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association. The program, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Kayssi, will provide national and international perspectives on the advances in managing diabetic foot-related complications.
Virtual Patient Journey Program: Our Voices, Our Stories - June 9-10, 2022
At Wounds Canada, we believe centring the voice of the patient is crucial to enacting change in the health-care system and delivering the best possible wound care. That's why we're proud to be hosting “Our Voices, Our Stories”—a national wound care patient experience conference. This unique two-day learning, outreach and knowledge exchange event is funded through a grant from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada, led by Drs. Ide Costa, Catherine Phillips and Michelle Spadoni of Lakehead University, and Dr. Pilar Plazas of Queen's University, in collaboration with Wounds Canada. The purpose of this conference is to bring together citizens impacted by complex wounds, researchers, health and social service providers, educators, community leaders and policy makers.
This event will provide an opportunity to listen to individuals’ and families’ stories of the impact of hard-to-heal wounds on their lives, identify the gaps and synergies in wound care provision and identify areas in which holistic wound management can be enacted.
Hybrid National Fall Conference - October 14-16, 2022
The Wounds Canada National Conference is the largest wound‑related event in Canada, bringing together health-care professionals, educators and key opinion leaders in both a virtual and on-site gathering in Toronto. This hybrid continuing education event is designed to support health-care professionals who work with patients with wounds or who are at risk for developing wounds. Both conference formats will be available for those who are able to join us in Toronto and for those who prefer to meet virtually. The conference consists of:
